The most common and affordable type of implant-held denture is called a Snap Overdenture. These dentures are held in place using snap attachments called Locators.
After a treatment plan that’s specific for you is created by Dr. Gauthier, your implants will then be placed, many times on the same day as teeth are removed. Implant surgeries are typically safely performed right there in our office, with IV sedation, under the care of experienced certified registered nurse anesthetists.
Once the implants and gums heal, a beautiful, strong new set of teeth that are securely held onto the implants with Locators, is fabricated. The Locators are screwed down onto the implants, and matching snaps are inserted into the underside of your new teeth. The snaps on the implants match the snaps on the underside of your new teeth, thus allowing your teeth to snap tightly into place. Snap Overdentures are available to patients that are missing all of their teeth, as well as patients with problem teeth that require full mouth extractions.
